A GREAT VACATION
Linda and I just returned from a cruise which was the first time in almost 2 years that we have had any time to ourselves. Our only trips have been to clinics, consultations and hospitalizations and followups. We went to San Juan, St Thomas, Grand Turk and a small island for swimming. It was fabulous and I can't say enough good things about Reagent cruises. They really take care of their guests. It started nervously as we had airplane engine problems and had to return to Memphis. Fortunately they were able to get another airplane as it couldn't be fixed to continue.. So we arrived late but the cruise company met us at the airport, and quickly got our bags and rushed us and a few others to the boat which waited almost an hour for us. The cruise people took great care the entire trip. We are rested and on return did a lot of lawn work. The routine begins soon and will have visits with the Neurologist and Oncologist this week and to shortly get another MRI. I'm getting more comfortable in that tight tube and pray for continued healing and remission that never returns. I overcame one of my fears on the trip as since the surgeries I have avoided swimming and its risks but overcame that giant with some snorkeling and did okay and got more comfortable with this. I'm not sure why I got that phobia but I was told to avoid that as if I had a seizure I would probably drown. So far and I believe I never will have a seizure even though I'm on 2 meds to prevent these after the surgeries.. Oh well life is full of adventure. Everwhere the beauty of that Carrabean Sea, the fish, stars etc declared the glory of God.. Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts. Dr Jim and Linda and girls
