A GREAT VACATION

Linda and I just returned from a cruise which was the first time in almost 2 years that we have had any time to ourselves. Our only trips have been to clinics, consultations and hospitalizations and followups. We went to San Juan, St Thomas, Grand Turk and a small island for swimming. It was fabulous and I can't say enough good things about Reagent cruises. They really take care of their guests. It started nervously as we had airplane engine problems and had to return to Memphis. Fortunately they were able to get another airplane as it couldn't be fixed to continue.. So we arrived late but the cruise company met us at the airport, and quickly got our bags and rushed us and a few others to the boat which waited almost an hour for us. The cruise people took great care the entire trip. We are rested and on return did a lot of lawn work. The routine begins soon and will have visits with the Neurologist and Oncologist this week and to shortly get another MRI. I'm getting more comfortable in that tight tube and pray for continued healing and remission that never returns. I overcame one of my fears on the trip as since the surgeries I have avoided swimming and its risks but overcame that giant with some snorkeling and did okay and got more comfortable with this. I'm not sure why I got that phobia but I was told to avoid that as if I had a seizure I would probably drown. So far and I believe I never will have a seizure even though I'm on 2 meds to prevent these after the surgeries.. Oh well life is full of adventure. Everwhere the beauty of that Carrabean Sea, the fish, stars etc declared the glory of God.. Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts. Dr Jim and Linda and girls

Finally some relaxation time

Linda and I are going on a trip to have some time for ourselves. I've put her through a lot this last nearly 2 years and our only trips have been to some clinic or hospital. We are actually going on a cruise so that should be special. I feel good and people tell me I look good, nobody told me that before I got sick, so I'll not get a complex. My white blood count is still low so I need to have that up so I can get the UCLA testing and hope to get that on return from the trip. I need to be here to generate some revenue but this trip is more important and I have to believe the Lord will take care of this. It is hard to travel with needed medicine and vitamins and am getting letters from doctors to allow me to take them so them won't get taken at the airport. Not a good deal went hyou are on seizure meds. So pray all goes well and the right timing will happen in California. God bless you all. Jim and Linda

Exciting hope

Today was a great day as I got to present one of the lessons that the Lord had laid on my heart at a large church near my office. I take care of several of the people there and they pray for me regularly. It was a blessing to be with them and I feel I did as the Lord wanted me to and I hope some got saved or closer to God. It is titled Overcoming Impossible Odds by the Power of Praise, Prayer. Preparation and Purpose. I have been keyed up for a week or so in preparation and of course a little nervous. UCLA did find the blood and it was fine so they will call me out for the leukophoresis which has to work this time. Its a type of dialysis machine that you are hooked to for 3-4 hours and they take off your white blood cell so you are more prone to inffection after this. Then if this is fine I can begin my vaccine which is what I have been working so hard to get to. I have to believe this is God's timing. You have to or you go crazy. Thank you for your prayers and continue them please. the battle is not over. Dr Jim
